English Sterling Candlestick

 

This fire damaged candlestick required very delicate handling. After the "crust" was removed, the stem was straightened, the base levelled, and a new patina was applied before hand finishing. You can see how the minor scratches on the fluted stem to the right were preserved and not buffed-out for a made yesterday look. Photos: Jay Herman
