Matthew Boulton Water Kettle

This spout was a mess. My customer had limited funds and requested minor body dents removed and the spout repaired, making the kettle presentable for resale. Being fused plate made it a challenge working on the spout while maintaining the inside and outside layers of sterling sandwiching the copper. I was able to accomplish the job with my pulse arc welder, layering sterling in and around the cracks while reforming the spout.
